Paladin Law served our country and our communities. Now we’re here to serve you.
Growing up in a small farming community in Southwest Missouri, Doug Hansen regularly observed the unfair consequences of poverty and the importance of experienced legal representation when navigating complex legal issues. His experiences and observations inspired him to pursue higher education, serve his community, and protect the rights of those around him.
Doug accepted a full scholarship to Central Methodist University, where he studied English. While at CMU, he served as varsity soccer team captain, president of his fraternity, and was a three-time national qualifier in track.  After graduating with honors, Doug became a teacher and soccer coach, earning state-wide recognition in 2007 as a Missouri Outstanding Beginning Teacher.Â
Doug studied law at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill from 2008-2011. He was a member of the First Amendment Law Review, participated in mock trial competitions, and made the Dean’s List.
In 2013, Doug commissioned as an officer for the United States Air Force. He served as a military officer and attorney for ten years. He was competitively chosen among his peers to serve as a military defense attorney and, later, as a senior military prosecutor. Doug joined the USAF reserves in 2018.  As a civilian, he served for two years as an Assistant United States Attorney in the United States Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California. In this capacity, Doug handled federal white-collar, immigration, drug, and firearm offenses.
In his final years with the Air Reserve Corps, Doug served as a TRIALS instructor. This is an accomplished group of military trial attorneys responsible for teaching trial litigation skills to junior attorneys worldwide. The United States Air Force awarded Doug the United States Air Reserve Component Attorney of the Year for his litigation success and leadership efforts in the military.Â
During his career, Doug developed significant experience litigating criminal trials and administrative hearings worldwide. His travels allowed him to serve clients, practice law, and litigate cases across the United States, Europe, and the Pacific. As an attorney, Doug gained significant exposure and training in criminal, contract, tax, fiscal, administrative, and federal employment law matters. Additionally, he has been a small business owner for several years and regularly assists non-profit organizations with initiation and growth operations.
Over a decade of practice has taught Doug to value experience and thorough preparation. His extensive education and legal expertise allow him to navigate clients through a wide range of legal issues confidently.Â
Doug is admitted to practice law before the Supreme Court of Missouri, the Supreme Court of Texas, the Supreme Court of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces.
